Who We Are
Our Mission
St. Vincent de Paul founded our community, the Congregation of the Mission, in the 1600's. Today, in the United States, we are known by t
he popular name of "Vincentians." Our community consists of both Priests and Brothers who have let Jesus Christ shape their lives in the spirit of our founder. Through prayer, ministry, and life in community, we Vincentians spread the gospel message of Jesus in championing the needs of the poor. In the Words Of Vincent de Paul ... Let us love God my brothers, let us love God. But let it be with the strength of our arms and the sweat of our brow ... When you are called from your prayers or the Eucharistic celebration to serve the poor, you lose nothing, since to serve the poor is to go to God. You must see God in the faces of the poor.
