Who We Are
Who are the Vincentians?
St. Vincent de Paul founded our community, the Congregation of the
Mission, in the 1625. Today, in the United States, we are known by the popular name of "Vincentians." Our Roman Catholic community consists of both priests and brothers totaling over 4000 worldwide and serving in over 80 countries. Through prayer, ministry, and life in community, we Vincentians spread the gospel message of Jesus in championing the needs of the poor and in the formation of the clergy.
